[img_assist|nid=7376|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=67]Unemployed people in Colorado are now able to receive unemployment insurance payments on a digital basis. Last Friday there was the last unemployment insurance check printed by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.

The new Colorado Automated Payment Card, a Visa debit card, is to be used to get benefits. The cards can access automated teller machines for cash and may be deployed to purchase directly. Any month near 30,000 unemployed workers receive dowries and the figure is predicted to rise on the score of economy slowdown.

The new method of insurance payment is to provide money more quickly and securely than the old method of mailing checks. $209,475 is expected to be saved in postage costs alone the first year by eliminating paper checks.

A bank teller or ATM outside the Chase system will also be accessible but only once a month.
