Trend Micro stands sentinel over Indian SMBs

SMB segment in India is to meet new Worry-Free Security solutions provided by the Trend Micro. The solution is designed to block threats that have mutated beyond the bounds of conventional viruses and spam.

“Security measures needed outside the corporate network differ from the [relative] safety of an internal environment. Worry-Free Business Security has built in location awareness to automatically re-adjust protection levels when a machine is roaming. It includes multi-layered spam protection and effectively removes over 97% of spam before it is downloaded from an ISP server,” says Niraj Kaushik, Country Manager of Trend Micro India and SAARC.

The security pack with a full name Worry-Free Business Security 5.0 is based on an e-Commerce security solution named Worry-Free SecureSite that creates safer, smarter, simpler solutions specifically for small businesses that want to protect their assets and their customer information.

In view of the fact that at a number of SMS companies personnel is not stuck to one place Worry-Free Business Security 5.0 provides customers with the location-awareness feature enabling automatic change of Worry-Free security settings on laptops depending if employees are inside or outside the office. The data is secured and security level increases if the personnel resorts to an external wireless connection.
