Travels to be booked with AliPay

[img_assist|nid=9097|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=59]A strategic cooperation partnership was established between eLong, Inc. and AliPay, an online payment service provider and the sister company of Alibaba.com.

As a part of the deal customers of eLong will be enabled to make payments online with their AliPay accounts in addition to debit and credit cards.

According to Cui Guangfu, CEO of eLong underdeveloped online payment was one of the main reasons that prevented China’s online travel agent market to catch up with the US competitors.

That is why instilling online tickets booking manners in customers is a priority task for such online travel agencies as eLong and Ctrip.com.

Cui notes that the mature condition of the travel agent market can be reached when there is 70% of tourists are booking their trips via Internet services.
