New upgrades were added by SunTrust Bank to its Online Check Deposit service that enables business customers to reduce time and money spending while better managing their cash. By means of a certified scanner businesses can capture check images and submit them to SunTrust electronically from their office for deposit.

Now businesses with multiple locations can save time and improve account reconciliation due to a numeric identifier that can be added in the auxiliary on-us field on the virtual deposit ticket. This way companies that have various offices, locations or business units, such as retailers, title companies, leasing offices and municipalities, can easily distinguish which locations make specific deposits.

One more feature added to the system is that businesses can access Online Check Deposit from computers that are not connected to the certified check scanner and monitor online deposits from a central or home office on the same day that the deposit is made.

Other enhancements include extended models of scanners compatible with the service, enhanced reporting options, extended transaction history, improved image recognition and compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista, 32-bit version.
