Standard Life Investments thinks of retail investors

[img_assist|nid=7343|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=66]One of the investment companies Standard Life Investments has declared a launch of its fund called Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) Fund especially for retail investors.

The new fund is considered to provide an access to absolute return fund for retail investors by means of the same advanced investment techniques which are available present time to institutional investors of Standard Life Investments. Also it is announced to provide investors with consistent, positive investment returns over the medium to long term under different market conditions.

Standard Life Investments said that the benchmark for the fund is UK six month sterling LIBOR. The main purpose of GARS at the moment is to outperform by an additional 5% per annum gross of fees, over a rolling three-year period. As for other aims, the fund is expected to exploit inefficiencies across markets and to increase to the maximum risk-adjusted returns worldwide by investing in a combination of traditional investments such as equities, bonds and foreign exchange, and by means of advanced techniques such as relative value, duration, credit spreads, and inflation and volatility strategies.

According to Standard Life Investments minimum investment will be £500, and fees 4% and 1.5%, initial and annual correspondingly.
