[img_assist|nid=7154|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=74]www.zionsbank.com/espanol, a Spanish language version website of Zions Bank, a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, was introduced to serve the growing number of Latinos making financial transactions online. A report made in 2007 by the Pew Hispanic Center shows that Internet is used by 76% of bilingual Latinos in the USA. And one more survey indicates that visits of Hispanic population to online marketplace are more frequent than those to the general market.

The site contains more than 100 individual Web pages where users have an opportunity to learn about personal and business banking widgets and compare them so as to find the best option according to their needs. Besides the customers can locate branch offices, get information about Spanish-speaking community bankers and receive some hints on financial operations. There are also consumer education columns "Su Futuro Financiero", headed by Zions Bank's Sylvia Haro.

"Zions Bank's new Spanish Web site helps reinforce our commitment to serving the Latino community, and its launch coincides with the bank's efforts to expand its services for Hispanics to even more branch locations this year," said Joe Reyna, multicultural retail region president.

"Because more than half of Zions Bank's personal account holders are enrolled in Internet Banking, we know it is a convenient service that now can be used by our increasingly diverse customer base, including those who prefer making financial transactions in Spanish," said Carl Snyder, president of Zions Internet Banking.
