Sotheby’s MasterCard- serving the fastidious customers

Following the idea of the distinguishing the wealthy category by the issuance of the card for  Quatar residents, MasterCard had issued the Sotheby's MasterCard especially designated for the refined, fastidious persons addicted to art who posess, at least, $250,000 as to annual income and $2 million in investable assets.

 The new card is the sample of the ordinary reward card but a new product will provide its cardholder with the access to 30 museums of the USA, to exclusive private exhibitions including the closed exhibitions of Sotheby's. As any other card the Sotheby's MasterCard has its own, quiet modest, in comparison with the requested revenues of the potential cardholders, annual fee - $85 for World Card and $395 for the World Elite; the latter one includes, amongst others, the complimentary upgrades to the business class in international lines, access to airport lounges and luxury concierge services. The reward points will certainly please the "artistic cardholders" as they are redeemable for a short tour on helicopter over the Californian wine country, including the tasting with Sotheby's sommeliers, three days of driving three different Ferrari in Italy and etc.

"What they need is not necessarily more stuff, they are looking for a unique personal experience", said Gayle Back, head of product management for premium product of MasterCard.
