Russian will be obliged to purchase cinema tickets online

The government of Russia made a decision to change its ticket selling policy and make the movie house to sell only e0tickets. It is expected that one year will be enough to introduce e-ticketing system. According to the official statements they will start on January 1, 2009 and finish till December 31, 2009.

Such decision has made due to a great number of illegal sales. The statistics shows that about 20-30% of the profit gained from the distribution are not controlled by the special agencies, i.e. remain in the shadow. According to the minister of culture Alexander Avdeev e-ticketing is civilized return of money into the economy. 

The responsible company has already started working over the project that will enable the movie goers to book, purchase tickets and even to purchase them as a gift. The tickets are to be delivered through the mobile phones. When come to the movie house the consumers will be obliged to provide a special bar-code on their mobile phones.
