[img_assist|nid=7836|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=77|height=100]According to the recent survey conducted during ATG's annual user conference ATG Insight Live 2008 by e-commerce platform ATG, 48% of the leading brands believe that despite the decline in consumer spending and the slowing economy in the US, their business will not be affected. Moreover, 22% shows that slowing economy on the contrary will have a positive effect on the electronic commerce and result in an increase. More than 50 ATG partners operating in various fields including retail, media and entertainment, financial services and insurance, telecommunications, consumer product manufacturing ,healthcare, and technology consulting,  have participated in this survey.

All the polled  operated some serious businesses, so all of them have declared that their last year sales volume was $10 million, 58% of all the participants have reported annual web sales of USD 100 million and more, and 26% have reported their annual Web sales of over USD 1 billion. Almost all of them, 96% are going to invest more in the e-commerce strategies or tools, and only 4% said that they will try to invest to some other field and in other marketing and sales channels.
