[img_assist|nid=9765|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=78]Today booking a flight with delayed payments is getting very popular with travelers as it spares them the necessity to pay for the ticket immediately. At the moment such an option is being provided by a number of airlines but some experts find these programs to be nothing but an additional burden.

Analysts noted that there is little difference between using one of airlines’ payment programs and paying with a credit card. Joining an airline program a customer has a longer period without interest but wait till you pay a higher annual percentage rate (APR).

Travelers applying for the program offered by American Airlines receive an AA credit card. A customer is not charged any interest or fees for six months but at the end he/she will have to pay out an APR up to 25.96 percent.

Booking a flight with JetBlue via Bill Me Later service a customer required to get approval through its credit program with CIT Bank. Then a traveler is allowed 90 days without payment or fees. And yet the APR can reach up to 19.99 percent. The same is with US Airways: 90 days free of payment but 17.99 percent APR.
