As per Gemius study conducted in European countries, Poland shows a huge popularity of e-commerce. 36% of Polish internet users have shopped on line and will continue doing it in the future. During the year 2007 the number of residents who regularly utilize internet in the daily activities increased from 11 to 15 million.

Such a rapid growth is very attractive to domestic and international e-commerce companies.  According to a Polish research company, Obserwator, 18 percent of Poles, 24 percent of Czechs and 62 percent of Germans shopped online in 2007.  While all European countries show an average of 28% only. Obserwator's report also predicts that 25% of all trade in Europe will be conducted online by 2015.

In spite of the fact that Poland shows a rapid e-commerce growth, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development suggests that domestic businesses are not well familiar with the ways to offer goods and services online.
