PayPAl PayPal customers will be provided with an opportunity to load funds to their new PayPal prepaid Visa card at over 19,800 PayPoint outlets across the UK. PayPoint, the UK's leading cash and internet payments company entered into partnership with RBS and PayPal to start the initiative. The new card will be available in August 2008 to more than 20 million UK PayPal accounts.

The card will be issued by RBS and consumers will be able to apply for it on the bank site. The minimum amount to be loaded to the card makes up 5 pounds while an annual limit is 5,000 pounds.

The new PayPal card may be used both by customers with PayPal account and without the one. With the card users can securely shop online, in the high street and abroad with retailers.

“Consumers recognise PayPal for its credibility and security, so we are pleased to be partnering with RBS and PayPal to further extend the wide range of prepaid cards which can be topped up at PayPoint. It's important to offer retailers new services which are relevant to their business and customer base as the e-money sector is forecast to grow significantly,” comments Mike Igoe, PayPoint's Retail Director.
