[img_assist|nid=7570|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=67]Beginning late this summer a new Fort Lauderdale City Card powered by Parcxmart is to be introduced. Parcxmart Technologies, an electronic payments company, and the City of Fort Lauderdale signed a five year agreement on the subject.

The Parcxmart Card(tm) represents a city card that simplifies operating expenses and at the same time heightens revenues for municipal parking operations, its local merchants participating in the program, and the commuting public seeking a convenient one card solution for all types of parking meters.

"We look forward to launching the Fort Lauderdale City Card so that local commuters will first experience the convenience of a high utility city payment card in Fort Lauderdale. What also appeals to us about the card is that it has the potential to be regional in its reach, and for people who live and work around Fort Lauderdale, that is important. Since it is a universal city card that is designed to make parking, shopping and eating convenient, it may grow into a regional program throughout southern Florida," states Diana Alarcon, Assistant Parking Services Manager for the City of Fort Lauderdale.

"This award comes after a lengthy search by Fort Lauderdale for the right universal city card solution for parking and retail transactions. Since The Parcxmart payment system is the only payment system that provides a cashless option for both on- and off-street parking payments, we are excited about the opportunity to launch in Fort Lauderdale, and look forward to expanding the program going forward throughout the state of Florida," says John Regan, President and CEO of Parcxmart Technologies Inc.
