One more mobile banking service in India

Indian HDFC Bank in collaboration with JiGrahak Mobility Solution offered new project of mobile banking that users can use via downloadable ngpay platform for their mobile phones.

Account holders of HDFC Bank may receive the information on their accounts and check status, order check books, get fixed deposit inquiry and transfer money to another HDFC or any other non-HDFC bank account holder who uses the ngpay application.

"It has always been our endeavour to offer our customers convenience using innovation through technology. By adding fund transfer to the existing bouquet of banking transactions and shopping, HDFC Bank now offers a complete suite of transactions and options through the mobile phone in a fully secured environment," says HDFC Bank Country Head - Retail Liabilities, Marketing and Direct Banking Channels Rahul Bhagat.

Customers of HDFC Bank may transfer money to each other in real time. As regards transfers to the account holders of other banks, the latter are implemented within 48 hours.

Any GPRS-enabled mobile phone may download ngpay application. It takes only to send SMS. In addition to online banking services there are also movie, air, rail and bus tickets booking, shopping and making payments.
