One billionth online transaction of BPay

The end of this year for BPAY payment system is marked by a very significant event in the history of this company – by its one billionth transaction. It’s worth saying that in November this largest payment system of Australia had celebrated its 10th anniversary. According to the official statistics in 2007 the company has handled 16 million payments per month that is significantly more against 340, 000 payments per month in 1998. It’s necessary to say that throughout of the last decade the number of online transactions is increasing very quickly leaving the paper payment behind itself.
