Obopay appoints new VP, Engineering

[img_assist|nid=7351|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=79]A new Vice President, Engineering was announced by Obopay, Inc., the pioneering service provider for payments via mobile phones. The position will be held by Spencer Fong.

Having a 23 years experience in software design, computer programming and patent activity Fong will be responsible for Obopay's mobile payments network infrastructure and mobile applications, as well as the research and development of new technology.

"This has been a year of substantial growth and ever-increasing momentum for Obopay," said Obopay President, U.S.-based Operations Gregory Holmes. "Spencer's depth of technical expertise and specific banking services experience will prove invaluable as we continue to expand our mobile payment offerings."

Before joining Obopay team Fong served as VP, Engineering for Digital Insight, an Intuit Company focused on providing online banking services to banks and credit unions. Besides, he also held a position of VP, Engineering at Teknowledge Corporation, where he practiced development of solutions to aggregate customer information for the financial services industry.
