[img_assist|nid=7878|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=67]The recent survey conducted by Nielsen has confirmed a rapid growth of online banking in New Zealand caused by the eased access to online services which were unavailable earlier.

According to the strict figures and the data, the progress is more than just evident - it is significant. So, during the period of 3 years online banking use has increased by 62%. The similar progress can be viewed in telephone banking, but here it is not so great -  "only" 13%, while branch visits are down 23 per cent.

As per Donald Sheppard, the spokesman for Nielsen, the most part of branch visits are intended to get more information about deposits and to get a piece of advice. There are a lot of people who don't trust e-banking and treat it suspiciously but it is necessary to add that the greater part of population visit the sites to learn trusting the security of electronic banking. Donald Sheppard adds that the changes reflect busy lifestyles.
