New Poland bank to expand its business with First Data

First Data, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment services entered into the relationship with Alior Bank, a new bank in Poland.

Under their agreement First Data will provide Alior Bank with services in card issuing and personalization to support the bank's expansion into Poland later this month.

Apart from card issuing and personalization First Data will deliver such services as management of the bank's card databases, authorization, card transaction calculations, management of customer charge backs and ongoing transaction monitoring. Such cooperation will benefit Alior Bank as it allows the bank to take advantage of advanced technologies, including, First Data's fraud solutions.

"The quality and breadth of First Data's product and service offering makes it the ideal partner, and we look forward to working closely with First Data's team in Poland to accelerate our expansion into this important market," said Robert Midura, operational director at Alior Bank.
