Previously used SAP e-commerce platform will be replaced by one of ATG (Art Technology Group Inc), however SAP system is not to be rejected absolutely. Now it will be used for internal purposes.
This measure appears to be correct in view of the flexibility, larger capacity and online business features of the new technology which in its turn will favor the site activity expansion. As it was mentioned the company is going to promote its services to the users in the USA, UK and Canada. The promotion will be applied to the citizens of India working and residing in those countries. They will be able to sell various goods and send them to their relatives or friends within India only.
Today the administration sets the task to achieve $18 million sales this year and expects the business grow $200 million by 2011.
Forecasts show that in 3 years online commerce in India will increase 300% which means $12 billion increment. At the moment there are near 46 million Internet users in India and 75% of them is predicted to acquire broadband access by the end of the year. According to the surveys people with such kind of Internet access spend more money and time in the virtual space.
