PayPoint, a retail bi[img_assist|nid=8423|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=88]ll payment network of the UK, has made a deal with Lloyds and signed a new agreement on credit and debit. According to that contract now the retailers will only pay a maximum of 1.4% on credit card payments and 0.15 GBP on debit card payments.

The representatives of PayPoint system say that comparing to cash costumers, credit and debit card users usually spend more money in-store. Also it was said that according to the surveys those retailers who offer cashless payment option usually see an increase in their sales.

In addition, PayPoint said that a new option would help the retailers to save on banking costs, because the more card transactions they take, the less cash they have to bring to the bank. So, the mathematical progression can be seen. Using PayPoint Terminals, retailers can accept a greater number of payment options  and also offer credit and debit facilities as well as a cash back option.
