[img_assist|nid=8617|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=67] A new prepaid MasterCard cards are being offered at Web 2.0 social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace as well as at several concert festivals and on 52 college campuses nationwide by the new company ed? Interactive.

The new reloadable card known as Facecard is issued by MetaBank and destined for young adults. It can be used at ATMs and merchants that accept MasterCard. Besides, it works as a peer-to-peer payment system.

With Facecard cards merchants are provided with an instrument that works as a gift card. Merchants do no need to offer specific gift cards, instead cardholders receive bonuses "prewards", or "ed?Cash" which are deposited on their Facecard to be used at retailers.

"We start with the ability to use one's Facecard MasterCard card at millions of locations worldwide and then combine it with gift cards, prepaid cards and loyalty programmes," says Ed Braswell, CEO, ed? Interactive.
