e-commerce, mobile banking In Malaysia mobile banking service provided by CIMB Bank is expected to gain popularity with the users of the bank’s Internet portal CIMB Clicks.

At the moment there are more than 1.3 million CIMB Clicks users and with the introduction of CIMB Clicks Mobile Banking more subscribers are predicted to join the banking portal.

According to Peter England, head of retail banking, the newly offered service is not a separate application of CIMB Clicks but a different channel of accessing the banking portal.

England reports that account inquiries sent to CIMB Bank averaged 4.5 million with nearly 350,000 online bill payments a month.

Besides 150,000 and 200,000 phone reload and fund transfer transactions respectively were made online per month.
