[img_assist|nid=7911|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=73]It seems that Microsoft is confident in its desire to launch its own payment system. So, it became known that Microsoft has concluded an agreement with Symmetric Systems, a payment processing company, which runs VitalPay, a payment processing platform. This agreement is a significant step in establishing an online payment system.

The desire of Microsoft company is dictated by huge fees charged by credit card companies for the conducted transactions. It is necessary to note that, for example, such companies as Google and eBay have already got their own processors: Checkout and PayPal relatively.

A child of Bill Gates does not announce the details of this agreement and the ways of realization of the project. But it is known that Microsoft has a variety of point-of-sale software, CRM and Web-based offerings that could potentially integrate with Symmetric's ones.

The software and hardware of Symmetric are integrated with global banking and settlement systems and can  process checks, debit and credit cards as well as other payment methods.

Symmetric works not only with big companies but with online retailers as well. For that category of customers Symmetric offers software which is intended to integrate virtual shopping carts into Web sites plus secure call center applications.
