Malaysian Government online payment policy

Malaysian national administration launches a new project intended to make all payments to the Government available online. Nevertheless alternative systems are to be left with no abolishment.

Special committee for commerce promotion states that the initiative is undertaken to improve transactions through the Government institutions due to e-payment sector.

The innovation will touch 106 institutions nationwide. 21 of them are expected to become effective in May 1, 55 agencies will be ready by June 1, as regards the residual 30 they will be enabled by July 1.

Charge card is believed to be effective by the end of the year. Road taxes have been already paid by credit card on 83 terminals in 72 Road Transport Department branches.

Besides people may pay to the Department online for tests order, driving license operations and others. The services are accessed at 111 authorized sites.
