LibertyReserveOne of the most popular payment systems Liberty Reserve is not available these days. ?ut unlike other downtimes this time it was announced beforehand. The official blog of the processor has announced some maintenence works.

So, last week Liberty Reserve announced about new solution for their members to store gold. The company is being introduced the allocated storage along with the upgrades of the site software.

“The allocated storage will be audited twice a year and audit information will be publicly available on-line in the upcoming new version of Liberty Reserve software. Physical location of gold will be in Europe, under the management of well known and reputable metal depository entity,” runs the entry in the company blog.

Promised system update started this week on Wednesday at 2:00 AM. “This important upgrade will provide you with faster and more robust web site performance, additional features and a slight face lift. This is part one of two upgrades that are scheduled this year,” says Liberty Reserve.

In the last entry made to the blog the company states that all relevant agreements related to the allocated gold storage were already reached.

“As we have promised, we have reached and signed an agreement for allocated gold storage. Once this option is enabled you will see a third balance (in grams) listed on your account. We are preparing updated instructions for exchangers for purchases of gold inventory,” says the post.
