Koreans widely using CUP cards

[img_assist|nid=9100|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=69]Xu Luode, the CEO of China UnionPay (CUP) reports that, the CUP cards became a convenient tool for trade and people exchange between China and Korea with more than 10,000 companies accepting CUP business and more than 11,000 ATMs located in Korea.

Within the period form January to July 2008 Chinese tourists made transactions with CUP cards on amount of 0.14 billion RMB the same amount spent in the whole 2007.

Besides, Korean banks issued official UnionPay standard cards to allow those Koreans who are working, studying and living in China to make their payments. By August 18 more than 15,000 cards were issued.

Within the same period of January-July 2008 Koreans spent 0.13 billion RMB with UnionPay cards in Korea, and 20 million RMB in China.
