[img_assist|nid=10971|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=70]Within the following two years spending on mobile marketing will be increased by the major part of agencies, advertisers, planners and creatives in the UK reports the new research conducted by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) Mobile Council. The survey reveals the reasons causing agencies expect mobile marketing to grow rapidly while expressing the view of its authors on the weak points of such approach.

Nearly 62% of the polled say they believe mobile marketing expenditure will rise by 2010. Presumable the main factors for the predicted mobile marketing popularity are the mobile medium's measurement and evaluation metrics. Yet, Jim Cook, editor of MobiAdNews and chair of the IAB Mobile Council, notes that many people still do not understand the significance and importance of the channel. Thus companies will have to do more to enhance the awareness.

Previously Vanson Bourne held the similar study commissioned by O2. The survey reported that in the next five years some largest brand companies are going to spend three times more on mobile marketing.
