India under protection of Verisign

Verisign Services India Private Ltd provider of Internet services is greatly worried with the safety of online transactions. The most part of companies use only username and a password to provide the authentication of user and very often they are very vulnerable to fraud and identity theft. Verisign decided to establish the order and to open a new page in the history of online payments. In the second half of the year Verisign is planning to introduce new services in India, which would help the customers to resist online fraud and identity theft.

Particularly company is going to introduce its security products such as Verisign Identity Protection (VIP) that never has been used on Indian before. VIP would provide a new layer of authentication infrastructure for Internet that could be used for multiple internet accounts.

Today activity of phishers, swindlers and other Internet criminal make security systems work hard on creation of tools to protect users and service providers themselves. Verisign also in going to set up a Regional Internet Resolution Site (RIRS) in India to help supporting of internet traffic for dot com and dot net, and to provide users in India with enhanced performance and greater stability. RIRS will also help Verisign to identify and isolate potential dangers and attacks at their early stages.

In a longer prospect company is aimed to create a single security device that will enable authentication on VIP-enabled websites like PayPal, eBay and Yahoo.
