HSBC Commercial Banking has announced the launch of Business Internet Banking service, the first in the UK, which is optimized for use on a BlackBerry device.

This new service, a first in the UK for businesses, enables HSBC business internet banking customers to monitor their transactions via a new free service optimized for the screens of their BlackBerry (8000 series) devices, reports Business Credit Management.

“We understand that our business customers need to be able to manage their money on the go, and we aim to provide them with the best technology to make this possible. Our business customers range from sole-traders to large corporates, and we know that instant access to their accounts and good security is important to them. By providing a business banking service specifically optimised for BlackBerry devices, we are enabling SMEs to spend a greater proportion of their time focusing on running their business, knowing they have direct access wherever they are, and less time worrying about keeping track of their banking,” said Noel Quinn, Head of Commercial Banking UK, HSBC.

The customers can access the new service on the bank’s site using the same username, password and security device as the regular HSBC internet banking service.
