online gambling PayPoint.net conducted a study that was recently reported by eGaming Review. According to the survey 81% of online gamblers are worried about the issue of security and “61% expressed concern about what options are available to them if they encounter a problem gambling online.”

The reasons for such concern are well grounded and easy to understand. As it is known the legislation of the United States and a number of other countries strictly forbid the transfer of funds from players to internet gambling sites. To carry out such kind of transfer a gambler will have to undergo a multitude of procedures.

In spite of a great number of businesses engaged in the industry in the United States and across the world only a miserable number of poker sites continue to accept U.S. players – PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker. Sites like Titan Poker, Mansion Poker, PokerRoom, and Party Poker reject U.S. players.

Thus poker participating in the United States is rapidly decreasing. The American Gaming Association’s 2008 State of the States survey shows that from 2005 to 2008 the number of adults that play poker online reduced 28%.
