The changes will touch upon the online retailers who sell cigarettes and tobacco products. So, according to California Attorney General’s Office First Regional Bank agreed to stop any payment-processing services to online retailers who have no license to sell all kinds of tobacco products over the Internet.

“These online tobacco retailers are known to be a major source for young people to get their illegal cigarettes. We’re pleased that First Regional has agreed to take measures to address this important issue and hope that other banks and companies involved in online tobacco sales will follow suit,” he said Jerry Brown, California Attorney General.

According to Mr. Brown this refusal from processing the illegal transaction is a very important step in the struggle with the illegal tobacco business. According to the survey conducted by the authorities First Regional was processing the income from online tobacco retailers throughout the United States.
