eBillme knows how much a customer will spend next quarter

[img_assist|nid=9087|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=47]$100 - $250 is an average projected consumer online spending for the quarter as revealed by the latest eBillme Online Spending Index. The results show that along with the increase of customers giving their preference to online shopping habits during the upcoming holiday season more and more shoppers are shifting to cash alternatives when making purchases online. The index shows how credit crisis influenced customer spending behavior.

1,600 consumers were polled by the eBillme Online Spending Index, conducted by Javelin Strategy and Research and released quarterly by eBillme. So, the 4th quarter data show that 34% of consumers are closer to their credit limit than a year ago; 45% of the surveyed have used their credit card less often over the last 90 days in favor of non-credit payment options; 55% of the polled indicated that their available credit has decreased this holiday season as compared to last year and 48% confessed that they are delaying purchases due to uncertainty in the economy.

As for this year holiday season 46% of consumers said they would like to avoid Black Friday in-store shopping in favor of shopping online. 13% of the respondents are determined to make most of their purchases on the Internet on 'Cyber Monday,' the unofficial start of the online holiday shopping season.
