E-commerce popularity in Portugal

e-commerceAccording to reports during the first six months of 2008 nearly 2 million people in Portugal visited e-commerce websites from their homes which corresponds to 68.7% of the Internet subscribers in the country.

Within the period of January and the end of June 2008 Portuguese internet users visited 184 million e-commerce pages which is on average 89 per one use; they spent a total of 1.6 million hours with an average of 48 minutes per visitor.

The highest figure in terms of unique users was registered by Vodafone's online store loja.vodafone.pt while the largest number of pages and the biggest amount of time fell on fnac.pt.
