E-commerce flourishes in the Kingdom of S@udi Arabia

The results of the latest survey conducted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the Arab Advisors Group have shown that almost a half of Internet users in Saudi Arabia use e-commerce. During the last 12 months about 48.36% of Saudi Internet users have purchased merchandise or some services by means of mobile phone or using global network. Converting these showings into the number of people one can see that more that 3.5 million people or 14.26% of country population use electronic commerce.

According to the calculations of the Arab Advisors Group the total amount of online transactions is something like $3.28 billion. A real hitch in comparison with previous year results. The Arab Advisors Group is completely sure in actuality of these results and say that only 2% of error exists.

Commenting the results of this survey Mr. Jawad Abbassi, founder and General Manager of Arab Advisors Group has said that as soon as Saudi Arabi has a large population a rapid growth of economy and increasing number of the Internet users are preparing a good soil for a thriving e-commerce scene. Mr. Jawad Abbassi also added the following: "Our major survey of Internet users in Saudi Arabia revealed a massive size for B2C e-commerce in the country which presents opportunities for global and regional e-commerce players to tap into this growing market."
