Customers in UK are content with online banking services

[img_assist|nid=7762|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=66|height=100]In the UK Norwich and Peterborough Building Society conducted a survey on how Internet banking influences its customers. The poll was timed to the tenth anniversary of the internet banking service provided by the society.

According to the survey 99% of customers stated that internet banking had made their life easier and 92% admitted that now they could not live without the service.

Consumers were asked about when and where they prefer to bank online.  90% answered that they prefer access their accounts at home with 36% doing it in the evening.

Interestingly though that more than half of the respondents said they were logging into their accounts at daytime and 16% of them did it from their workplace.

Some customers became account checking addicts. The survey figures show that 10% of them check the statement several times each day.

40% said that they checked their accounts several times a week, 24% logged in once a day and just 2% use the facility once a month or less.

In addition to logging onto the web to check their bank balance 96% percent of respondents advised that they used other services online as well, for example, shopping, selling and social networking.
