Criminals producing fake plastic cards caught in Sri Lanka

[img_assist|nid=8381|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=75|height=100] A special CID team has arrested a sophisticated machine used for printing forged credit cards along with 4 suspects in Sri Lanka.

As per officials the information that helped in discovering the machine location was received during the interrogation of Neshanadan Muruganandan, working under the alias "Anandan", the alleged mastermind behind this international credit card scam.

The information available reveals that the machine was found in one of the houses in Colombo. The four apprehended are considered to be connected to the Tigers and the authorities are planning to arrest more criminals. A great number of credit card PINs and bank receipts issued by local and foreign banks were found with the main suspect. The fake financial documents amounted to Rs100 million.

The cloned credit cards, PINs as well as card numbers stolen from original credit card holders in Britain, Singapore, Switzerland, Malaysia and Canada were used for criminal purposes.
