[img_assist|nid=7576|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=44]Amazon.com has offered it Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) to allow developers to create their own online-payment service. Owing to Marketplace Widget, the functions of Amazon FPS "Pay Now" enable widgets to accept payments as well as facilitate payments for others.

For example, ecommerce solution providers, shopping cart providers or marketplace application developers can use the Marketplace Widget to facilitate payments between buyers and sellers. The fee that the developer gets from the seller is assessed according to a fixed amount and/or a percentage of the transaction.

Amazon.com also added some new features to FPS itself and to the existing Pay Now Widget by means of which both widgets can now support an Instant Payment Notification (IPN) feature; new Refund API call automates the process of generating refunds and provides sellers with additional transaction details, including the buyer's email address.
