New upgraded version of PATbank mobile banking platform was recently released by CPNI Inc. (CPNI), provider of mobile financial services to banks.

With this revised option banks are able to provide mobile solutions to their retail, private banking and wealth management customers. Renewed PATbank is one product in the line of CPNI's mobile payments solutions which include PATsend designed for person to person payments and PATbuy for mobile purchases from merchants.

The combination of PATbank, PATbuy and PATsend enables the industry's only mobile banking and special mobile payments solution on a single platform.

Financial institutions using PATbank can securely and easily offer their existing online banking assets to their customers through a mobile phone.

The services offered with PATbank include the ability to check account balances, perform bill payments, view portfolios and find bank machines. Each bank can adjust such options as content, control, features and flow without changing or re-installing the mobile client. Such a flexibility reduces cost of deployment and allows each bank to make their competitive offering peculiar.

It is up to the banks to choose if they need to receive 1, 2, or all 3 services which can be delivered with a single sign-on and a single software download to the mobile phone.

Thus the work of the service available with the application is as follows. A customer making a transaction or a purchase should simply provide the recipient's or merchant's telephone number, select a bank account or credit card and enter the amount of the transaction.
