According to a new report, "Electronic Money: Contactless Payment in Japan" from Celent, Contactless payments in Japan are steadily increasing. Even though cash remains the major method of payment in Japan, especially for smaller payments, the emergence of electronic money has impacted cash payment areas. And more Japans begin to visit online shops and to use web money. It is supposed that in 2010 contactless payment devices will reach nearly 180 million.
