1According to the recent investigations of eMarketer the UK continues passing through a real boom in e-commerce market. This tendency had begun last year when almost 37 million people went online in an average month.

It's necessary to note that the UK represents the greatest single share in the European market. And owing to activity of population that is one of the most experienced and active ones in the world this showing continues increasing. So, according to the report of eMarketer, the UK will account for minimum 40% of 2008 online sales in Western Europe as internet penetration continues to grow. The average amount spent for online purchases is rising with rare perseverance and is expected to reach £2,000 in 2008.

Continuing topic of British market it worth saying that Karin von Abrams, eMarketer senior analyst and author of the new report, UK Internet: Users and Usage in his report marks that confidence in e-commerce is very high and merchants had been careful to establish excellent security for transactions and reliable delivery services. "Online prices in the UK are very competitive, particularly for books, travel tickets and items bought at auction sites," notes a well-known analyst.
