Citi, the world's largest provider of credit cards, has announced the launch of its EcoSweepstakes, "a promotion to encourage customers to go paperless. Every time cardmembers enroll in one of Citi's convenient online account management services or perform eligible activities, they are automatically entered to win great green prizes, including a Brand new hybrid car or a green home makeover."

This latest eco-friendly initiative is part of Citi's on-going effort to help build environmental awareness and deliver tangible benefits to customers who want to reduce their paper consumption.

In addition to benefiting the environment, paperless online services provide cardmembers with a convenient way to manage and track account transactions -- anywhere, anytime. Customers can also view their credit card statements up to 15 years back.

"At Citi, we believe that working to promote environmental and social sustainability is good business practice," says Rob Rosenblatt, executive vice president, Citi Cards. "We continually look for ways to provide easy and convenient options to help our customers manage their accounts. By switching to paperless online services, we are able to offer a green option that's both effective and meets the needs of our customers."

Citi's EcoSweepstakes runs through May 14.
