CarsidePay from VerifoneIn the USA Claim Jumper Restaurants chain entered into an agreement with the electronic payment services provider, Verifone, to install the CarsidePay option at selected locations and the TablePay option at all 45 restaurants from California to the Midwest.

VeriFone’s Vx 670 point-of-service payment service is used by Claim Jumper for operations and card acceptance while using CarsidePAY Claim Jumper servers can deliver the carryout order and accept card payment, allowing the customers to have control of his or her card. So, a servant carries VeriFone’s wireless On The Spot device along with orders to patrons waiting in their cars or at the table. Then patrons swipe their credit cards on the device to pay for the meals which is more secure than giving cards to waiters who take them away so as you cannot see what operations are being applied to your card.

The financial data transacted over a restaurant’s Wi-Fi network is protected at the expense of VeriFone’s encryption and other security features.
