[img_assist|nid=9840|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=75|height=100] Asian markets will soon be provided with a new product from VASCO Data Security International, Inc., the leading software security company specializing in authentication products. VASCO launched its Digipass 810, a new version of VASCO's popular Smart Card CAP reader upgraded to support Asian character sets.

Redesign measures were applied to the display of Digipass 810 which now can show all Asian Character sets as long as they can be represented in a 80X14 dot matrix line. Thus Asian retail banking customers can offer their end users a stand alone EMV-CAP E compliant card reader with e- signature capability.

When a user inserts its smartcard and enters his PIN for two-factor authentication Digipass 810 switches auto-initialization. Every time when a user enters PIN a one-time password (OTP) will be generated and displayed. The OTP is necessary to authenticate the personality of a customer when accessing banking application. Apart from OTP generation Digipass 810 also enables e-signature capability, the ultimate weapon against man-in-the-middle attacks.
