online shopping Despite the fact that in the entire South America the largest number of Internet subscribers is concentrated in Brazil (15.8 million users), this figure accounts for only around 11% of the country’s population.

Yet the Brazilians, having an opportunity to avail of Internet connection, use it to a maximum extent. e-bit conducted a study that found e-commerce to be a growing online activity in the country.

According to e-bit’s report named ‘Web Shoppers’ and presented in Spanish the revenues coming from online business in Brazil increased four times within the last three years and reached $2.2 billion. It is attributed to the growth of online shoppers in Brazil. In 2003 this number accounted for 2.6 million users while at present time the figure came to be 9.5 million.
