Chase Users of Chase Freedom credit card are going to enjoy new statement credit feature to be added to their cards by Chase Card Services.

"The feature lets customers put anything they want on their Chase Freedom credit card and apply their reward points to their next statement so they can spend rewards like cash. With this new feature, Chase provides customers with maximum rewards flexibility," says the company.

“Chase recognizes customers want to shop using their rewards like currency and the statement credit delivers just that,” says Joe Venuti, general manager of Chase Card Services. “Chase Freedom has a reputation as an innovative product that gives customers unprecedented choice, flexibility and control.”

When making a payment for an item listed in 15 Everyday spend categories a customer earn 3% or 3 points per $1 paid for one of the top three items in the list and 1% on all other purchases. Cardholders may redeem their bonus points after gaining $50 for cash or 200 points for the statement credit.

Reward points are spent by customers at their discretion for shopping and applying for merchandise, gift cards or travel but Chase suggests one more way to invest their bonuses. Chase Freedom customers can make a contribution to the World Wildlife Foundation or the ASPCA® (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals). The contribution may be made the same way customers redeem points for other items over the phone or online.
