[img_assist|nid=8458|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=49] Indian electronic bill payment processor, BillDesk, which offers electronic payments and remittance solutions for banking, telecom, insurance, utilities and financial services, has announced about its work on e-payments for school fees.

The officials of the company say that owing to their service school fees will not be a problem anymore. The project is on its pilot stage.

"We are planning to tap a larger segment of institutional fees through schools but the success depends on two factors: first our ability to deliver to this segment and secondly some level of electronic capability that the entity per se should have for us to integrate our technology into," said M. N. Srinivasu, co-founder and director, BillDesk.

BillDesk tries to develop in various directions, so in addition to the  “student program” the company works on Internet credit cards payments, or it’s better to say, on making such payments comfortable for the users. According to Srinivasu, they want to expand into a retail network with franchisees on their platform.

As its next step BillDesk has defined the development of mobile channel.

"Mobile medium is what banks are interested in now and so are private players who want to run mobile-based businesses," commented the director.
