Azerbaijanians are being introduced into online banking

[img_assist|nid=8086|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=95|height=100]Azerbaijan people are to meet online e-commerce system first in the country in the short run. The system is being introduced under the partnership of Milli Kart, Azerdemiryolbank and UniBank.

Customers of Milli Kart LLC, which two years ago repurchased the cards processing centre of the same name from the National Bank of Azerbaijan, will now be able to use online payments for goods and services.

As per Jalal Orujev, MK executive director, by the present MK has completed the process of certification for e-commerce services through 3D Secure technology (applied by Visa Inc) and Mastercard international payment systems.

“Already before the end of June our shareholders and clients Azerdemiryolbank and UniBank will be able to commission e-commerce system (Internet shops). Two shops have been presented so far, but with accumulation of experience this service will expand,” Orujev says.

“On-line payment will be provided through Golden Pay, that ahs already drawn two merchants to the project and will continue this practice,” Orujev adds.

Cards of both local and foreign issuers are accepted by the system for online payments.
