CheckFree A new survey held by bill payments technology provider, Checkfree shows that security issues no longer prevent many Americans from banking online or settling their bills via Internet. More and more customers in the US are willing to perform everyday banking activities in the Web.

Now the security concern occupies third place in the list of the reasons withholding online Americans to turn to Internet for their banking while the first place is occupied by lack of knowing what to do, or in other words a significant number of Americans just do not know how online banking works.

On the other hand the general reasons driving consumers to shift to banking online via their computers at home are environment pollution with 51% of Americans who expressed their concern about gas emissions as a result of driving to the bank and saving trees by using less paper. 44% of consumers mentioned also control and time saving as other key benefits.
