[img_assist|nid=7774|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=67]According to a consumer market research by Packaged Facts, a great part of customer spending in America, approximately USD 548 billion, fell to the share of the self-service payment system, which amounted from 2006 to 19 percent over the year 2007. If a compound annual growth rate remains on the level of 17 percent on average, the sales predicted to leap up to USD 1.2 trillion by 2012.

Consumer application of self-checkout kiosks rises its share of transaction volume from 30 percent to 35 percent, when transaction activities of vendings will stay in a low position, despite the annual considerable increase of transaction volume from 3 percent in 2007 to 8 percent by 2012.

And such improvements as technological advancements, payment developments along with retail trends and consumer attitudes will have a stimulating effect on sales growth worldwide. In general, the convenience of paying by debit and credit cards at kiosks influenced the market growth.
