Alabama and the Florida panhandle to benefit from a new partnership

[img_assist|nid=8171|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=83|height=100] A strategic partnership to offer expanded businesses in Alabama and the Florida panhandle was started by Heartland Payment Systems Inc. and Superior Bancorp.

Under their cooperation Heartland and Superior will be able to use each other's regional customer base for expanded business opportunities. Customer support per corresponding services will further be provided by each of the company.

Heartland will provide consumers with leading credit/debit/prepaid card processing, payroll, check management and payments solutions while Superior's suite of commercial banking tools include DDA accounts, credit and lending, and cash management solutions.

Heartland closed $25.45, up $0.50 or 2.00% at $165 thousand shares. Superior closed Thursday's trading down $0.57 or 4.75% at $11.44 on a volume of 90 thousand shares.
